Chapman Valley Historical Society

Heaven for vintage farm machinery enthusiasts

Farm machinery and vintage motors enthusiasts will find themselves in heaven at the Chapman Valley Historical Society Heritage Centre. This massive and lovingly tended collection features trucks, tractors, shearing stands, wagons and a host of other local paraphernalia depicting farming life in the district. A band of dedicated volunteers man the centre, and are happy to hand out activity worksheets to kids, guide visitors on a riverside walk trail and share a chat about the history of this beautiful farming area. Outside, there are barbecue facilities and picnic tables for those wishing to stay a little longer as well as a beautiful World War I tribute honouring fallen soldiers. A short drive away is a quaint church designed by famed priest-architect Monsignor John Hawes.
