Original ceiling mould

Art deco cast

This is one of the original ceiling moulds used to create the pressed tin ceilings in the Cummins Theatre, Merredin. The Cummins Theatre is one of the oldest buildings in the Shire of Merredin. It was named after James Cummins who owned the Tivoli Theatre in Coolgardie. That theatre was dismantled in 1897 and used to create the Cummins Theatre, which opened in 1928. Be sure to drive by and check out the beautiful original art deco façade at 31 Bates St.
