Mt Magnet Mining and Pastoral Museum

A large museum for a small town

The Mt. Magnet Mining and Pastoral Museum celebrates its mining and pastoral history over several buildings. The sheer scale of the restored Hill 50 Winder in one of the sheds is impressive, whilst the replica house tells a tale of murder on the rabbit proof fence. You can view pastoral items, including an overhead shearing plant, and find out more about the number 1 Rabbit Proof Fence. There is something of interest here for everyone. To find the museum just look out for old the Eclipse Mine headframe on the main street.
