Tricycle from 1800s

Toy
An iron toy

This tricycle was manufactured in the later 1800s or early 1900s. It would have been sold through an ironmonger. 'Ironmonger', as the name suggests, was a term once reserved for people and businesses that created and sold items made of iron. By the early 1900s, the name could be applied to any shop selling hardware and household goods.
