“The Guardians of the Path” by Larry Sawyer

Artwork
The Guardians of the Path

Guarding the foyer of the Shire of Plantagenet offices, the life-size eagles peer from the top of the jarrah tree trunk, ready to take flight to warn and defend. This majestic sculpture by Sawyer (b. 1945) is made from resin with a bronze coating, and was acquired by the Shire from the Art in the Park sculpture exhibition in 2016.
